DENTSPLY Prosthetics Provides IdentCeram Certificates for Cercon® Zirconia
March 3, 2010

The IdentAlloy/IdentCeram Council has announced that DENTSPLY Prosthetics will provide IdentCeram certificates with Cercon® zirconia base material purchases.

Cercon® base material is medical grade yttrium-stabilized zirconia of the highest quality and is used to create presintered disks and blanks, controlled by lot for purity, sintering shrinkage and physical properties.  Cercon® base disks and blanks are available in neutral white and shaded options. When milled to your specified CAD designs and sintered, they result in zirconia frameworks with outstanding flexural strength of over 1300 MPa.  Only Cercon® base materials manufactured by DENTSPLY are approved for use in the Cercon® milling units.

"DENTSPLY has been a long-time participant in the IdentAlloy program for its alloy products. We welcome the expansion of its participation to the IdentCeram program," commented Charles Yenkner, Executive Director of the IdentAlloy/IdentCeram Council.
